Bespoke Tailoring
We have been making suits (by hand) since 1958. We still make these suits in exactly the same way. Hand-Cut and Hand-Made, each garment is created from the material of your choosing, just for you.
What is a Bespoke Suit?
Bespoke:
The definition of the word bespoke comes from bespoken giving the characteristic of choice.
This in tailoring terms means to design clothing from a blank canvas, the client adding his own individual choice of styling to those of the skilled cutter.
The cutter will work in tangent with the client's waistcoat maker, coatmaker and trousers maker adjusting the pattern at the various stages of making thus creating the perfect paper pattern.
Bespoke:
Bespoke is usually a British English term for tailored clothing made at a customer's behest, and exactly to the customer's specification. Bespoke clothing is created without use of a pre-existing pattern, differentiating it from made to measure, which alters a standard-sized pattern to fit the customer.
Bespoke:
Bespoke derives from the word bespeak, meaning 'to ask for' some thing. It comes from Savile Row, where a customer would bespeak for a measure of cloth. The bespoke bolt of cloth was unavailable to any other client until the entire suit had been cut, assembled, and sewn
